I am from the General Lagos area in the high Andean plateau of northern Chile. That’s where I have my alpacas. My grandmother taught me to knit when I was little. I am the mother of 7 children, 6 boys and one girl. We like to work as a family, in fact it was my husband who taught me how to use the loom and I am so happy I learned. The day goes by so fast when I’m weaving. I also like to spin my wool; I’ve done it since I was a girl. Until recently that’s what I sold, but now that I’ve learned to make large pieces on the loom, I’m happy with my creations. I dream of exporting my products and that other people can appreciate them. I hope I can do so soon.
